Your first steps in Laughtale
Find the client, get your bearings in Emberhold and choose your first goal.
Start on the Get started page to check client availability. If a public download is not listed, follow the Laughtale Discord for announcements.
The Windows client includes Java, so a separate Java installation is not needed. Once the official package is available, extract the complete folder and open Play Laughtale-RSPS.cmd.
- Find your home base. Emberhold brings the bank, shops, upgrade workbench and travel services into one compact area.
- Begin Starter Progression. Find it in the teleporter's Minigames list. Its six phases track your progress and award supplies along the way.
- Check Starter Tasks. These milestones introduce activities such as Slayer and upgrades. Return to the interface to claim completed rewards.
- Pick one next goal. Browse boss destinations, check a collection log or inspect a workbench recipe before heading out.

Finding your way around Emberhold
Getting started
Finding your way around Emberhold
A compact home for banking, preparing your equipment and meeting your next adventure.
Emberhold is built around a shared hearth, an inn porch and enclosed gardens. Its services are grouped together so you can restock between trips without a long run across town.
- Bank your haul. Use the bank counter or bank chest to sort supplies and make room for your next trip.
- Check the forge. The furnace, anvil and upgrade workbench handle different parts of equipment preparation. The workbench shows a selected upgrade's ingredients and success chance.
- Choose a destination. The Travel portal opens your next journey; Starter Progression gives newer characters a structured place to begin.
- Prepare before leaving. Restock at the shops and check the entry requirements for the raid or boss you intend to visit.
Take a moment in the gardens, too. Butterflies circle the grounds, and residents occasionally speak overhead without filling your chatbox. These details work in both software and HD rendering.

Build momentum with Starter Progression
Follow six phases, collect their rewards and turn early milestones into your next equipment goal.
Choose Starter Progression from the teleporter's Minigames list. You will enter your current phase, with an on-screen display showing the target, progress and rewards.
- Finish the current phase. The six phase targets are 10, 20, 30, 50, 100 and 200 kills. Completing a phase unlocks the way forward.
- Review your rewards. Phase rewards include equipment and supplies. If your inventory is full, the progression reward is sent to your bank.
- Claim your Starter Task. Finishing the final phase advances the Complete Starter zone task. Open Starter Tasks to claim its reward.
- Choose a follow-up activity. Starter Tasks also cover Slayer, experience lamps, item upgrades, global bosses and minigames.
Before spending materials, inspect the upgrade workbench and decide which item you want to work toward. A clear target makes it easier to decide what to keep from your next trip.

Using the upgrade workbench
Browse upgrade paths, check ingredients and understand the chance before committing your materials.
Visit Emberhold's Upgrade workbench. Its left-hand menu contains Tier 1 through Tier 6 and a separate Level 120 section. These use your Invention level.
The Invention requirements are 1, 15, 35, 55, 80 and 90 for Tiers 1 through 6. The final section requires 120 Invention.
- Select a tier and an item. Check the product, required ingredients and displayed success chance.
- Check your Doubloons. Ordinary upgrade recipes list their currency cost alongside the required item.
- Choose the amount carefully. Ordinary tiers offer Upgrade 1x and Upgrade all. Review the recipe before attempting either.
- Use the Level 120 categories. Browse All, Weapons, Armour, Accessories, Costumes or Misc. The ingredient area can scroll when a recipe needs several materials.
An upgrade attempt is not a guaranteed result unless its displayed chance says so. Let the current recipe in the game guide your preparation.

Preparing for Cinderdeep
Four bosses, a molten cavern and attacks that demand more than standing still.
Before entering: form your party in the Cinderdeep lobby. You can enter solo or with a party of up to five. The party leader starts the raid and chooses Easy or Hard; every member must dismiss their familiar first.
Bring more than one combat style. Storm Tyrant absorbs melee, Kiln Beast absorbs magic and Ash Matron absorbs ranged attacks.
- Storm Tyrant. Following lightning strikes target player locations. Keep moving away from the marked tiles instead of waiting for another strike to land.
- Kiln Beast. Switch away from magic and finish the room before trying to advance.
- Ash Matron. Molten Rain comes in three volleys. You have three seconds to leave marked tiles before lethal lava falls. The last volley marks a cross, so move onto an unmarked tile.
- Cinder King. Watch for blasts, following lightning and a wall of fire in the final encounter.
You must complete each room to progress. Death returns you to the raid start, so regroup and check the route before running back into the fight.

Surviving Hollow Keep
Read the lanes, follow the changing ring and reach the last safe light.
Entry requirements: bring at least two party members. Every member must have opened 1,000 Cinder keys, be ready in the Hollow Keep lobby and dismiss their familiar. The party leader starts the encounter.
- Gatekeeper: Fault Lines. Marked lanes become dangerous after a three-second warning. Leave those lanes before the impact.
- Shardback: Ring Shift. Read each warning. One pulse sends you inside the unmarked centre; the next sends you outside the marked centre. Each gives three seconds to move.
- Hollow King: Last Light. Find the marked safe quarter and reach it during the four-second warning.
Defeating Gatekeeper and Shardback breaks the seals leading onward. Do not assume the safe position from the previous pulse is still safe: the floor and the warning message tell you where to go next.
Finish your preparation in the lobby so the whole party can enter together.

Facing the kings of Twinforge
Encounters
Facing the kings of Twinforge
Switch targets when shields rise and move through the gaps in sweeping ice and ember waves.
Entry requirements: every party member needs 10,000 Scarlet Lord kills, the entry fee in their inventory and a place in the Twinforge lobby. The party leader starts the battle when everyone is ready.
- Easy: 25,000 Doubloons per player.
- Medium: 50,000 Doubloons per player and at least 100 Easy completions.
- Hard: 75,000 Doubloons per player and at least 200 Medium completions.
Glacier King and Pyre King share the arena. When one raises his shield, switch your attacks to the other king. Watch the encounter messages instead of continuing to hit a protected target.
Ice and ember waves sweep across the court. Their warning gives you three seconds to reach a safe band: follow the green gaps and keep watching the moving wave as it passes.
The entry fee is taken when the run starts. Check your supplies and your party's difficulty requirements before asking the leader to begin.

Getting your HD settings right
Choose the look and performance that suit your machine, from software rendering to HD lighting.
Open RuneLite's plugin settings and search for GPU & HD. HD adds directional sunlight, shadows, local lights, atmosphere and bloom. GPU rendering keeps the original lighting.
- Start with a balanced setup. Try 60 FPS, a 50-tile draw distance, 4x MSAA and 2048 shadows.
- Adjust for your display and hardware. Vsync can limit the frame rate to your monitor. Use the performance overlay to check frame times while changing settings.
- Use software rendering if needed. Disabling the plugin restores it; renderer initialization or rendering failures also fall back.
- Explore Scene Studio. Its crescent-moon sidebar button opens cosmetic atmosphere tools and local cinematic capture.
The client package is for Windows x64; GPU and HD rendering require OpenGL 3.3 or later. Scene Studio's visual effects do not change combat timing, collision or raid mechanics.

Use collection logs, Starter Tasks and the Season Pass to give each session a clear purpose.
Collection logs record drops across activities. Check the collection for the content you are playing, then use the missing entries to choose a target for your next trip.
- Choose a collection. Focus on a boss, zone or other activity you can currently access.
- Check Starter Tasks. A trip can also advance milestones such as Slayer, box openings, upgrades or global boss kills. Completed task rewards must be claimed through the interface.
- Review your Season Pass. The in-game information page lists ways to earn experience, including Slayer, raids, achievements, skilling and playtime.
- Review your progress before leaving. Check what you still need and prepare supplies for that specific activity.
Use the current in-game Season Pass for its tiers and rewards. There is no dated public season schedule listed here.
